Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a member to join an activity? Non members can attend up to two club events as a guest provided you pay a $5 guest fee and sign our waiver to meet insurance requirements. After two guest visits we ask that you join the club!
Can I bring my children on a hike? Yes, provided they have the required equipment, behave reasonably and are accompanied by at least one adult caregiver. They also have to be able to keep up with the pace of the group.
Can I bring my dog on a hike? Pets are not allowed on VOC activities.
What level of fitness do I need for an activity? This depends on the activity! Read the activity description on the event calendar and call the leader if you have additional questions.
What equipment do I need to participate in an activity? See the member's activity guide under the resources tab on this website. Call the leader if you have questions about anything after reading the guide.
Where do you meet? Check the member's activity guide under the resources tab on this website and the event calendar. If you are still unsure call the leader. Posted event times are the departure time - arrive a bit early please!
