Rambles
Tuesday rambles aim to offer a more "relaxed" experience that our Sunday hikes. They are generally shorter and a bit easier than our Sunday hikes , although as the season progresses they include some Sunday hike routes as well. Like Sunday hikes these are a group activity lead by a leader who knows the route. And just like the Sunday hikes, over the ankle hiking boots are required. Trailheads are generally closer to Vernon with correspondingly shorter driving times.
We car pool to the trailhead. Our usual departure point is the Curling Club parking lot off 39th Avenue in Vernon (just behind the Performing Arts Centre). Departure times are shown in the ramble calendar - they vary according to the time of year and the length of the ramble. If in doubt call the ramble leader, whose contact info you will find in the ramble calendar, to confirm the departure time.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign in and make car pooling arrangements. The departure time is exactly that!
