Hiking Trail Information

Enderby Cliffs are the near vertical rock face that forms a wall on the eastern side of the Shuswap River Valley just north of Enderby.
The trail is within Enderby Cliffs Provincial Park and is maintained and operated by BC Parks. For more information visit the BC Parks website at https://bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/enderby_cliffs/
The trail zig zags up through forest with a number of intermediate view points. It is a very well defined trail and route finding should not be difficult. Some sections are steep and like any steep trail, can be slippery in the wet. Hikers should have a reasonable level of fitness before tacking this hike.
The trail reaches the open about 1.5 km from the highest point. Continue along the trail that runs parallel to the cliff edge, heading north, to reach the highest point. The summit is the traditional lunch spot for the Vernon Outdoors Club! From there an add on to Reeves Lake is possible, which adds approx.. 4km total to the hike. The Reeves Lake route was cleared in 2020, make enquiries on its condition with BC Parks.
Bring plenty of water, especially in summer, and in the summer an early start is recommended. The descent, on the eastern side of the valley, is in the full summer sun from noon onwards and becomes very hot. In bug season bring insect repellent as well.

Driving Instructions
1. Drive north from Vernon to the village of Enderby.
2. In Enderby follow the signs for Mabel Lake.
3. Mabel Lake Road takes you east from Enderby across the Shuswap River.
4. 2km beyond the bridge over the Shuswap River turn left onto Brash Allen Road. This left turn is
on a corner and is easy to miss, use caution.
5. After another 1.4km Brash Allen Rd forks. Bear right and the road will turn to a good gravel
surface.
6. After another 1.5 km you will arrive at the Enderby Cliffs Provincial Park parking lot on your left.
Pit toilets are available.
