It’s simple – get out, get active, make new friends! VOC is a fantastic way of exploring and enjoying the wonderful outdoor recreation in the North Okanagan and further afield. Many of us have made and maintain important friendships through the VOC. And if you’ve never hiked in the Monashees or ridden that neat road bike circuit north of Armstrong come along … our members will show you all their favourite routes.
During these challenging times VOC has adopted guidelines to safeguard our members while still encouraging outdoor activities.
All VOC activities will be conducted in accordance with then current BC Public Health restrictions and recommendations, please see our startup guide for details.
VOC is opening registration for the 2021/2022 season in early April but please realize that our activities could still face restrictions as they are subject to meeting COVID 19 standards set by BC Public Health.
Camp outs offer the opportunity to spend more time in a smaller group hiking or bike touring an area from a central base. Most years we organize both a bike and a hiking camp out.
The club also has an objective of community service. Our trail maintenance activities is an important service to the outdoor community. We are always looking for volunteers in every facet of the club’s operations.
Social & Club Meetings
We organize a number of social events most years including summer BBQ’s, a Christmas event, etc. Volunteer and help out the social committee! As well as club meetings we try to organize one or two training sessions for members on a topic of interest each year.
